Ganga Hospital, Coimbatore, India is a tertiary referral care centre for Trauma Orthopaedics, Plastic and Reconstructive Microsurgery. The collaborative efforts of the Plastic Surgery Department and Orthopaedic Department has revolutionised treatment in the field of open fractures and salvage of major limb injuries. Two decades ago the sub-specialty unit was created to take care of Brachial Plexus and Peripheral Nerve Injuries. This has developed into one of the busiest centres in South Asia.
About 360 Brachial Plexus related surgeries were operated in the year 2018 and 400 major nerve repairs and nerve grafts were done in a year. This puts the unit as an ideal venue for the deliberations of the 9th Annual Conference of the Indian Society for Peripheral Nerve Surgery (ISPNS). For the first time in the history of the annual meetings of ISPNS, a day is dedicated to Live Surgery related to Peripheral Nerve Injuries and Brachial Plexus.
The hospital has a 420 seated state of art auditorium with adequate space and the operating rooms are well connected to the auditorium which facilitates two-way communication between the delegates in the auditorium and the operating surgeon. Hotels suitable to the budges are available in the vicinity.
We welcome you to the meeting.
